Gentle Beast

EDIT: I had to add the moon, I felt like something was missing...

This is for 's summer contest.

She asked that contestants draw a picture based around photos in her gallery that inspired us.

Right away I knew I was going to use that alligator and some butterflies, but I stuck with one.

I love drawing dark looking creatures/beasts and I thought that a butterfly would make a drastic comparison between a sweet and gentle being and a dark and menacing beast.

I messed around with filters and effects for this one and I must say that I absolutely adore this picture.

I thank for hosting this contest, I learned and I have made one of my personal best to add to my gallery :3
